Synopsis

 

Hear the soul that longs to be closer to God and the praise of a heart that yearns for peace.

See the mother as she stands beside the crucified body of her beloved son, her head bowed in eternal sorrow, her heart bleeding with the anguish of losing her child.

Come join New Opera Singapore as we present Britten’s arrangement of Bach’s Geistliche Lieder and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, a sorrowful hymn to Mother Mary.
