Stefanos Rassios is a graduate of The National Institute of Dramatic Art’s (NIDA) Acting and Directing courses, who has worked in theatre, film, TV, musical theatre, and opera as both an actor and director. Stefanos has directed over 40 productions both in Australia and Singapore, including Taming of the Shrew, Seven Doors, Three Sisters, Before/After, Orpheus Descending, Attempts on her Life, Loveplay, Woyzeck, The Maids, Peer Gynt, Oresteia, Blood Wedding, The Life of Galileo and Clark in Sarajevo.
In Australia, Stefanos has worked with companies like Belvoir, Opera Australia, and the Sydney Theatre Company and has also taught extensively across Australia including at The Australian Institute of Music, Actors Centre Australia, and NIDA. Stefanos directed the Singapore premiere of Benjamin Britten’s The Turn of the Screw for New Opera Singapore, which was nominated by The Straits Times as one of the Best Gigs of 2015 as well Donizetti’s Rita in 2016.
Stefanos is currently the Lecturer-in-Charge of the BA (Hons) Acting Programme at LASALLE College of the Arts.
